Position Summary
Responsible to the Assistant Vice President/Director of Admissions for performing the duties of managing and coordinating all undergraduate transfer admissions.
Essential Job Duties
- Oversee the management and coordination of all transfer admissions including transfer recruitment, transfer communication, transcript evaluation and other items critical to transfer engagement. (40%)
- Prepare and monitor budget for assigned areas (10%)
- Interview prospective students; maintain contact with serious applicants; and provide initial academic advising for incoming students; coordinate college fairs and articulation agreements with various 2-year colleges. (30%)
- Collaborate in providing services to transfer students with offices of the Registrar, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Veterans Services and others as needed. (20%)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Supervision
Employee proceeds independently working toward established objectives requiring the use of a wide range of procedures. Employee prioritizes own work and resolves unusual cases in consultation with supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
BA and strong communication skills; five years of experience in admissions. Must be self-motivated, willing to travel and work evenings and weekends. Prefer additional experience in counseling, marketing/public relations and/or data analysis; ability to plan and organize multiple projects; capacity to relate well to diverse constituencies; ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education; enthusiasm, energy, creativity and humor. Master’s degree preferred.
