Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating and evaluating all admissions and enrollment processes as well as advises all pre and current nursing students. This position also monitors, records and tracks data utilized by Jacksonville University Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences/School of Nursing’s campus-based Undergraduate programs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight in the areas of enrollment and advising for the ground based undergraduate nursing programs including traditional and accelerated
  • Directs recruitment and is responsible for the admissions process for programs in the Keigwin School of Nursing Undergraduate Programs
  • Communicates the delivery of undergraduate nursing curriculum to prospective and current students
  • Tracks retention and collects metrics for undergraduate nursing program and collaborates with administration to implement effective retention strategies
  • Serves as liaison between Keigwin School of Nursing and all other campus-based departments to facilitate relationships to aid prospective and current students
  • Coordinates the KSON application process for prospective students and evaluates for admission
  • Counsels alongside with Academic Advising for pre-nursing students interested in the major and preparing needed requirements
  • Hosts nursing informational sessions regularly for prospective nursing students
  • Oversees the KSON Peer Ambassador Program to assist with tours, orientation, special events deemed by the university
  • Once admitted, serves to onboard all new students and is responsible for orienting students to Keigwin School of Nursing
  • Counsels current students regularly on registration, program progression, and fulfillment of degree requirements
  • Serves as liaison to faculty for undergraduate nursing program
  • Advise program director on strategic program growth and development based on analytics
  • Completes an end of year report related to role responsibilities, accomplishments, and programmatic changes
  • Serves on the Nursing Undergraduate Committee
  • In coordination with the Undergraduate Director, develops and ensures proper implementation of undergraduate policies and procedures
  • In coordination with the Undergraduate Director, tracks program data including progression, licensure pass rate, admissions, and enrollments
  • Collaborate with Undergraduate Director in the roles of oversight of faculty assignments, scheduling, and workload
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary

  • Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can be a team player and desires to share creative solutions and best practices
  • Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Requirements include problem-solving, critical thinking skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks;
    ability to tolerating frequent interruptions.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Work Experience: 2-4 years related work experience

  • Knowledge of nursing profession and educational requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills
