Position Summary
The Enrollment & Advising Assistant for the Undergraduate Programs in the Brooks Rehabilitation
College of
Healthcare Sciences works in a team-based environment to assist in admissions, enrollment,
and advising for
students in the campus-based undergraduate nursing programs.
Essential Job Duties
- Complete task assigned by the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Enrollment in the
admissions
processes for programs in the Keigwin School of Nursing undergraduate programs. - Evaluate applicants for admission to the Keigwin School of Nursing undergraduate graduate programs.
- Assist in orientation activities for each entering cohort.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Enrollment to counsel students regarding eligibility, course schedule recommendations, and progression in undergraduate nursing programs.
- Assist in the advising of undergraduate nursing students for registration, program progression, and fulfillment of degree requirements
- Serve as a liaison to faculty for undergraduate nursing programs.
- Assist in the collection of metrics regarding undergraduate nursing students’ race, ethnicity, gender, employment as necessary for accreditation and university reporting.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Enrollment.

Work Conditions
- Primarily indoors except when traveling between campus buildings
- Some off-campus travel may be required

Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and scientific equipment
- Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
Prerequisites Required for Position
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Work Experience: Training
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a University environment
- Knowledge of the nursing profession and educational requirements
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written
