Ms. Candace Moody
Adjunct Professor of Management
Candace Moody is vice president of communications for CareerSource Northeast Florida, the regional workforce development organization, where she has been employed since 1997. She directs corporate communications and workforce services for six counties in Northeast Florida. She writes a weekly employment column for the Florida Times Union and is frequently interviewed by the media on employment issues. Her writing on business and career issues has also appeared the Atlanta Journal Constitution and 904 Magazine, as well as in several national publications and websites. Her blog @Work covers career and employment issues and is followed worldwide, including Australia and India.
Candace holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and has over 15 years of experience in private industry. Her background includes experience in Human Resources, recruiting, and career consulting. She was awarded an M.B.A. from Jacksonville University in 2001. She has taught as an adjunct instructor for the Davis College of Business since 2012.
Her community involvement includes serving as a former chair of the Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women. She is a founding member of the Jacksonville Women's Business Center advisory board, where she served from 2004 – 2015 and as chair from 2011 – 2013. Candace was selected as a 2009 Woman of Influence by the Jacksonville Business Journal and was selected as the Corporate Leader of the Year in 2011 by the Women Business Owners of North Florida.
