This Flipgrid workshop will discuss an overview of Flipgrid functionality along with hands-on development, ensuring you are ready to implement Flipgrid in your courses to increase student engagement and creativity while providing accessible and varied response options for your students. Video has become an important part of higher education. Video can be a highly effective educational tool. For video to serve as a productive part of a learning experience, however, it is important to consider best practices for video design.

This workshop will cover:

•The features and equipment available in the VPS

•The typical recording process

•Examples different video types

•Guidance for preparing scripts, PowerPoint presentations, and other multimedia for use in a recording session

•Best practices for creating educational video modules

•Demonstration of the Learning Glass System

Creativity Takes Courage: Integrating Video Assignments into Courses

Video assignments can be research intensive, collaborative, and highly engaging student activity. This session will discuss an introduction to create video assignments and how to incorporate into your courses.  Walk through a video assignment through the student and instructor prospective, including an introduction to the One Button Studio and submitting video assignments to Blackboard through Kaltura.
