Romesburg at Prestigious World Conference
Jacksonville University President Dr. Kerry Romesburg is among the world’s distinguished thought leaders and decision makers who met Oct. 21-24 at the 2007 Festival of Thinkers Conference in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
At the festival, Romesburg, along with nearly 25 Nobel laureates, collaborated on ways and means of fostering creativity at the scientific as well as social level. In addition, he participated in a panel discussion on Oct. 24 entitled “Preparing Creative and Responsible Citizens: Role of Educators” with other higher education officials from around the world.
“This is a great opportunity to represent JU on a global stage and to celebrate the power and importance of thinking,” said Romesburg. “Teaching students to use their creative thinking skills is crucial in helping shape our future, and I am looking forward to sharing and learning with this wonderful gathering of minds.”
The Festival of Thinkers conference is a biennial event, organized by the Higher Colleges of Technology in the United Arab Emirates. For more information, go to http://festivalofthinkers.hct.ac.ae/
