COMM 201 - Introduction to Speech Communication
POL 205 - American National Government & Politics

Taught by Professors Annmarie Willette and Steve Baker

Every four years America stages a spectacular civic and media event: presidential elections.  Featuring a clash of ideas, philosophies and personalities, Americans collectively attempt to chart our future.  Over a billion dollars will be spent by candidates, parties and interest groups on this pageant, “America’s Ultimate Reality Show,” to climax on November 4, 2008.  Students will have front row seats and the tools to interpret what is happening, why and the consequences.  Explore basic ideas of American politics and communication skills.  Do “hands-on” analysis of election strategy and polling data as well as critiquing and practicing a variety of communications and public speaking techniques.  So, “COME ON DOWN” and get involved in your future!  (Speech is an elective course.)
