From the machine gun to the smart bomb, the role of technology in modern conflicts will be explored.  What were the weapons and the physics behind them that determined the outcomes of the two World Wars?  The Cold War?  Does technology lead to conflict or resolve it?  Explore colonialism, world wars, and great power rivalries. Discover the principles of motion, work/energy/momentum, particles and waves, and atomic physics. Learn minimal algebra/trigonometry skills; test rocket engines; design and construct a model rocket! Through world history and introductory physics, explore the role of technology in the conflicts of the modern era.
