FAFSA

JU students may receive help in financing their education from a number of different sources. The University offers generous institutional scholarships and grants that are awarded on the basis of academic ability, talent and/or financial need. Students may also receive financial assistance from federal and state financial aid programs.

Applying for financial aid is easy. Simply apply for admission. Once you have been accepted, the Admissions Office will determine if you qualify for an academic award and send you a notification, usually within a few days of your official offer of admission.

To receive additional need-based grants, loans and work awards, U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens requesting aid should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before March 30 each year. Initial and Renewal FAFSAs should be completed online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. JU's FAFSA code is 001495.

We recommend that students complete the FAFSA between January 1 and March 15 for the academic year that will begin the following August. Although we award all of our financial aid programs on a rolling basis, funding for some programs is limited. It is best to apply early while funds are still available in all programs.
