MARKETING
The marketing major at Jacksonville University is all about preparing you to make marketing decisions. How much should a product cost? Who is your target audience? How should you advertise this product? Answer these questions, and more, with your professor and classmates in a marketing program focused on applied theory and strategies. You might even find yourself in the Behavioral Lab in JU’s new Davis College of Business building. Observe a focus group from behind mirrored glass, and learn what they really think about your idea or product!
The lab is just one example of how the business college’s new facility and applied focus inspire exciting learning opportunities for JU students. Through assignments and class projects, you’ll have an opportunity to test your knowledge and practice your marketing skills. You’ll develop analytical skills, plus learn about ethics, business communication and leadership as part of the core business curriculum. A marketing degree from JU is great preparation for careers in marketing, sales, advertising, public relations and more!

Facilities & Resources
The new Davis College of Business building is the largest classroom facility on campus. Its wired classrooms (and wireless technology throughout) provide technologically advanced learning spaces. Each classroom has computer, DVD, and video projection systems that faculty use in lectures and students use in presentations. Two computer lab/classrooms, a Trading Room and a Behavioral Lab provide specialized learning space. The facility also has executive training rooms, conference space, breakout rooms, a student lounge and a small café. Business and economics students can get tutoring and extra help through the Math Lab, which is part of the Learning Resources Network.
Internship & Career Opportunities
The College of Business offers internship opportunities for students in all major areas of study, including marketing. Internships allow students to expand their education and skills, receive exposure to real-life experiences, and enhance their career opportunities while earning academic credits. More than 50 local and/or national organizations sponsor internships for College of Business students.
