Position Summary

Jacksonville University invites applications for an adjunct of Health Informatics.

Essential Job Duties

  • Teach Health Informatics courses.

Qualifications

  • Earned advanced degree from an accredited institution in the discipline
  • Minimum 18 graduate hours in the discipline
  • Willingness to work daytime and/or evening hours
  • Willingness to teach online sections of the course
  • Prior experience with distance learning would be beneficial

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Problem solving

Work Conditions

  • Work is normally performed in typical office and classroom environments, however some sections may be taught online.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines
  • Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
  • Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
