Position Summary:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Health Sciences at Jacksonville University invites applicants from the speech and/or language disciplines to apply for a full-time, twelve-month, tenure accruing position for an Assistant Professor in speech language pathology with an expertise in swallowing, neurorehabilitation and/or research methods.
Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in communication sciences and disorders who demonstrate clinical acumen, are willing to develop courses in the areas of swallowing, neurorehabilitation and/or research methods and be strongly motivated to assist in program development and graduate education.



Description of Essential Job Duties:


  • Develop and teach courses in the areas of swallowing, neurorehabilitation and/or research methods
  • Assist in program development and graduate education
  • Demonstrate clinical supervisory and mentoring skills



Minimum Education Requirement:
  •  PhD from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Florida Licensure


Minimum Work Experience:
  • Current academic teaching and clinical experience are expected
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • PhD in communication sciences and disorders
