Description

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Health Sciences at Jacksonville University announces a full-time, twelve-month, tenure accruing position for an Assistant Professor in speech language pathology with an expertise in child language development and disorders.

Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders who demonstrate clinical acumen, are willing to develop courses in the areas of child language and be strongly motivated to assist in program development and graduate education.​

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate clinical acumen
  • Develop courses in the areas of child language and child language disorders
  • Assist in program development and graduate education

Work Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in typical office and classroom environments

Physical Requirements:

  • No, or very limited physical effort is required

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Ph.D. from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Florida Licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Current academic teaching and clinical experience are expected

Applicants must have a Ph.D., hold or be eligible for Florida licensure, and have a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
