Description

The Jacksonville University Division of Music is seeking a dynamic music entrepreneur for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank in Music Business starting in August, 2013.

Responsibilities

Instructional Duties: Include coursework in Music and Intellectual Property Law, Artist and Concert Management, Record Company Operations and Music Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will also provide instruction according to their musical background; preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching music theory, or applied voice, brass or woodwinds. The position requires coordination of a campus-based record company. Experience in the coordination of music non-profit organizations is welcome. Either a completed JD or MBA, along with a completed Master's degree in music is required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Terminal Degree in related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in instruction methods.
