Director of Strength Men & Women's Basketball, Baseball and Strength & Conditioning





Reports To

Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Position Description

Design and implement the strength and conditioning programs for Men and Women's Basketball and Baseball. Assist with other sport strength and conditioning duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.​


Essential Job Duties:

  • Decrease the risk of injury through a sports specific conditioning program and a complete and comprehensive training program for the student athletes
  • Making sure equipment is safe and not faulty
  • Constant communication with athletic trainers/supervisors/coaches/employees/athletes on athletes injuries and progress

Special Skill:

  • Communications
  • Problems solving
  • Delegating tasks to interns
  • Hold athletes accountable for actions
  • Weight room upkeep and cleanliness

Work Conditions:

  • Early mornings/evenings/holidays
  • Working with large group of athletes

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move heavy weights
  • Ability to demonstrate exercises/drills, etc.

Prerequisites Required for Position:

1. Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • CPR/AED Certification
  • CSCS OR CSCCA Certification

2. Minimum Work Experience:

  • Experience as a graduate assistant or intern as a strength coach (professionally or collegiate)

3. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • 1 year full time as a strength coach
  • Previous experience with Men's & Women's Basketball and Baseball
