Summary: Dr. Huihui Wang joined the faculty of Jacksonville University in August 2013 just after she received her PhD from the Electrical and Computer department at University of Virginia. She got her MS from Mechanical Engineering department at Xi'an Jiaotong University and BS from Environment Science Department at Northwestern Polytechnical University in China. She is an advisor of National Society of Professional Engineering (NSPE) at Jacksonville University. She is the member of ASEE, ASME and IEEE. She has served as a technical program committee member and a reviewer for a couple of international conferences and journals.
Teaching: ME/EE 410 Introduction to Mechatronics, EE201 Introduction to Digital Circuit, ME210 and 211 Mechanics: Statics and Dynamics, and ME/EE100 Engineering Orientation.
Research Interest: Health care and Medical Engineering based on smart materials, Robots, Haptics based on smart materials/structures, Ionic Polymer Metallic Composites, MEMS, and Cyber Physical System.

Summary: Dr. Emre Selvi will be an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering starting in 2015 Fall Semester. He received his B.S. (1999) and M.S. (2003) from Middle East Technical University and Ph.D. (2007) from Texas Tech University. He worked as a Design and Production Engineer for Aselsan Inc. for four years and as a Faculty at Muskingum University for six years. He also performed academic studies at the facilities of several national laboratories and research institutions, and is a member of ASME and ASEE.
Teaching: ME101 Computer Aided Design and Drafting, ME310 Mechanics of Material, and ME/EE100 Engineering Orientation.
Research Interests: High Pressure Material Science, Design and Engineering Education.

Summary: Dr Maria Javaid will join the Engineering Department at Jacksonville University in August 2015 as an Assistant Professor. She received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014, where she was nominated as an exemplary teaching assistant by her department for three consecutive years. Dr Javaid had industry experiences as a Controls Engineer at Caterpillar, Inc. and as a Design and Application Engineer at Intech Process Automation. She had also been a lecturer at University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore of Pakistan for three years where she was the first woman faculty member of Electrical Engineering Department.

Research Interests: Human-Robot Interaction, Haptics and Game-based Learning.

Summary: Dr. Lane received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Florida and has taught physics and engineering at Jacksonville University since 2007. Currently the Chair of the Physics Department, he has also served as Interim Director of Engineering and Interim Blackboard System Administrator. He enjoys using interactive teaching methods in his courses and has published several articles in The Physics Teacher. He also served as a Science Juror at One Spark 2014.
