Joint Degree Program: Nursing & Business Administration
Jacksonville University offers a joint-degree program in which qualified students may obtain both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration. Students will need to meet all of MSN and MBA admissions requirements. Designed for nurses interested in executive-level management careers, this innovative program allows substantial cross crediting of coursework. This program offers broad exposure to advanced-level nursing knowledge and health care issues, and incorporates issues and resources in managing and planning health services. Positions such as health system vice-president for nursing, clinical nurse manager in a specialty field, and director of quality assurance or quality improvement are open to executive nurse managers.
Students are enrolled in the MSN program and complete Core Nursing Courses and Core Business Education courses concurrently. Graduates are awarded a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration.
