2009 Orientation Coordinators
What's up? My name is Tiffany Bromfield and I am your Communications Coordinator. You will receive weekly electronic newsletters from me beginning in late May, and I am in charge of all orientation publications. I am a Communications major and student athlete hailing from the home of the Yankees, last lived in New Haven, Connecticut. I am a member of the Black Student Union, Jacksonville University Student Alliance (JUSA), Florida Public Relations Association, and I am the Vice President of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. I love being a Dolphin!!! JU's small class size, friendly atmosphere and the Jacksonville social scene makes this an amazing experience. I look forward to helping you guys get established in the college lifestyle and making orientation the best yet. I can't wait to meet you!!! :-)
Hey, my name is Dominick Iannacone and I'm the Community Development Coordinator for orientation. In english, that means I'll be planning the social events and ongoings for you guys, and let me tell you: they'll be great and we'll have a good time. A little about me, I'm the son of a career naval officer, so I've gotten the chance to see a good portion of the world, including my favorite, Italy, and my history with the navy has made me realize we have a pretty good NROTC program here at JU. I am a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and I must say the Greek community on JU's campus differs in a lot of ways from the stereotypical fraternity and sororities we all hear about, they're really filled with a great group of people. Lastly, I want to say that college is what you make it, it's a chance to figure out what you want to do - I know I had no idea when I first walked in. If you guys have any questions, feel free to shoot me or any of us an email, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and showing you all the ropes.
Hello! My name is Lucas Meers and I am your Educational Programming Coordinator for your upcoming orientation. I am very excited to plan your orientation and help you guys and gals adjust to life here at JU. I am from the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri (the place with that big arch thing), and came to JU for the small, friendly atmosphere, warm weather and sandy beaches. I love to travel, and have been all over the world. Most recently, I just returned from a 5 month study abroad in Australia, which was the greatest experience of my life. I am currently a senior double majoring in Biology and Marine Science and I love every second of it. I have an unusually large knowledge of animal facts, and enjoy random calls and texts from friends asking questions about them. When I am not in class or involved with the Sigma Chi fraternity, you will find me napping at the pool or beach, or socializing at Einstein’s Bagels on campus.
Hello everyone, my name is Adam Walesiewicz and this year I am excited to serve as the Marketing Coordinator for new student orientation. Being involved in next year's orientation program is exciting for me because, having been a foreign service brat who experienced 8 new school transitions (Arlington, VA; Italy, Poland; Guam; North Carolina; Reston, Virginia; a community college and now JU) I am looking forward to contributing to your smooth and informative entry to the JU community. I am currently a junior pursuing a business management degree and carrying a minor in theatre, with the good fortune of being involved in several productions on stage and in a technical support role. I absolutely love the JU environment, where there are a wealth of events and activities open to your participation. Have a great summer and I look forward to seeing all of you in the fall!
