Hey Guys! My name is Ben Goldstein, and I am the Community Development Coordinator for orientation this year. I am a junior from New Jersey, and I am studying Film. Coming to JU is one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. JU's small, but very active community has helped me get involved in ways I never imagined when I came into JU as a freshman. Jacksonville is an amazing place to live and it's great having anything you could possibly want in a city within a 30 minute drive from campus. Orientation is going to be great as well as the next 4 years of your life. Have a safe and fun summer. See ya soon!

 

 Hello everyone, my name is Melissa Nickel, Missy for short, and this year I am Marketing Coordinator for new student orientation.  I am currently a senior pursuing a biology degree. I transferred here two years ago from Michigan and I enjoy the educational environment and small community that JU has to offer. I am involved in Toastmasters, JU Relay for Life, and a number of other club and organizations on campus. I encourage you to get as involved as you can.   I am really excited to plan this event for you and can’t wait to meet you this summer!! –Missy

 

Heeeyyy everyone! My name is Tiffanie Saxton and I am your Communications Coordinator. I am a junior majoring in Communications from Tampa, FL. You made the right choice coming to JU because this school is an amazing place. I am cross country and track & field runner for the dolphins and I love being a student-athlete. JU has several different types of clubs and I am a part of Black Student Union, Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and the Federal Public Relations Association. I look forward to getting you all started on your feet and helping you achieve your goals in success at JU. I was born in Charleston South Carolina and have been in Jacksonville now for the past 10 years. I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and love helping out with Orientation. I can not wait to meet each and every one of you and welcome you to our community. GO FINS!!!!

Hi my name is Mickey Licciardi  and I am 21 years old from Brooklyn New York.  I am a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.  I also enjoy music, athletics (martial arts), movies, snowboarding and skateboarding.  One interesting fact about myself is that I have a pug named Scout (and yes, he is the man!).

Hi everyone, my name is Stephon Arnold and I am a third year political science major. I was born in Rota, Spain and live in Virginia Beach, VA. I love working on cars and hanging out with my friends. I am in JUSA – the most dynamic organization on the planet, as well as NROTC.

 

Hi my name is David Jones! I am 20 years old from Palm Beach Florida.  I am a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Circle K.  I am also currently self-employed.  Some of my hobbies include building things out of popsicles sticks and doing community service.  One interesting fact about myself is that I was on the winning team of the “Worlds Largest Student Film Festival”.

 

Hi! My name is Rose Joseph and I’m a theatre major. I’m from Orlando, Fl and I’m currently a sophomore at JU. When I’m not studying or doing homework, I like to hang out in the student commons. The “Game Room” as I like to call it is a great hang out spot, because I just like to play a good game of pool. There’s also video games, so I’m usually there on my free time. Another thing I like to do is write, but I only do that when I’m bored.

I am president of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, a Green Key member, secretary of MEISA (Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association), and a Die Hard Chicago Cubs fan. Hi my name is Christie Morehouse and I am 19 years old from Orlando Florida. I am a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.  I enjoy going to the beach, hanging-out with friends, playing sports and shopping.  My favorite things about JU are the small classses.

 

Hi! My name is Tamara Sprull and I’m from Columbia, S.C. I am a senior psychology major with a minor in sociology. I am a member of Gamma Phi Beta and I am also active in our campus Panhellenic. This is my third year being involved in orientation and I am looking forward to meeting you!

Hi ya’ll! My name is Ashley Adkins and I’m a sophomore at JU. I’m a performance theatre major and a member of Alpha Delta Pi. I love being involved in Greek life, shopping, and going to the beach!

My name is Nick and I am 19 years old from Mount Sinai New York.  I am the President and founder of the Dance Dance Revolution Club.  I am also a member of the First Coast Wind Ensemble, the Health and Wellness hall and RHA. My favorite things about JU are the small classes and personal attention from the professors.

 

 Hello! I’m Kelly Patterson and a sophomore. I’m majoring in Marine Science which I absolutely love. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I’m involved in many different organizations around campus and I’m very outgoing. Go Dolphins!

My name is Vincent Lococo, I am from Miami, Fl and I am a transfer student at JU. I am currently a junior majoring in aviation management. Also, I am currently a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and am also the treasurer of the American Association of airport executives.

 

Hey I’m Yvette aka Evey, I’m a psychology major at JU. I am a sophomore on the crew team. I am involved in many things at JU other than sports such as a peer mentor and a group leader. I am originally from Puerto Rico, but came here from Daytona Beach.

Hello! My name is TJ Urbanek, class of 2010. I am currently a Theatrical Design and Technology Major with a Dual Degree in English.  I am involved in many places on campus. You can find my smiling face on the Sigma Chi hall, in the ambassador’s office, in Student Alliance/Government meetings, in the schools theatre productions, in the schools pep band and in the honors lounge. I also have been involved in JU athletics as a Coxswain for the crew team.  I loves going to JU because I am absolutely obsessed with the school's bagel shop, Einstein's.

 

My name is Tiffany Brady and I am a member of the class of 2011 at Jacksonville University. I like JU because it offers me many opportunities to not only improve my academic skills but social skills also. Although the size of the University is not very big, the small community like atmosphere gives me a comforting feeling and allows me to be personal with my professors when needed rather then just being another face in the crowd. Personally, I am proud to call myself a JU dolphin.

 

My name is Kristen Conley and I am a junior music theatre major at JU.  I love JU because of the beautiful campus and music department.  Another one of my favorite things about JU is my sorority sisters and the Greek life at JU!  I am so excited for this year to begin and can't wait to meet all the new freshman!

 

Hi my name is Jaqueline Pagan and I am a senior at JU. I am currently working on a Biology degree with a minor in Spanish and French. What I love most about JU is that its a small community and there's easy access to all professors without having to always make appointments. Not to mention professors are on a first name basis with students, not like large colleges were many professors don't even know half their students. I can't wait to meet the new freshman's and am excited to see who's new to the JU community!!
