International Student To-Do List
Dear New Jacksonville University International Student:
Congratulations on becoming part of the Jacksonville University community! The Office of Admissions informed us in Student Life that you have indicated you are coming to JU (that’s the abbreviation you’ll become accustomed to using for our University) next term, and we’re excited that you’ll be joining us soon. We look forward to meeting you personally and helping you become integrated into all that life offers at JU and in Jacksonville.
Yvonne Martel in the Admissions Office has helped you get to this point I know, and she will continue to be a resource for you as you prepare to come to JU. Now that you are coming to school here, I can also be a resource for you. My name is Kristie Gover, and I serve as the International Student Advisor for all international students. My office, in the Student Life Office, tries to help orient you to life at JU and in the United States as you begin your time as a student here. Then, as you continue to progress in your academic work, my office will be the place you come to get many of your questions answered, especially about immigration-related issues. I look forward to meeting you soon and to working with you in the months to come. For now, please review the information below, and if you have any questions, please contact me at these addresses and numbers:
