JU Fall Dance Concert Features Legacies

Jacksonville, Fla.—Under the direction of Brian Palmer, division chair of Theatre and Dance, Jacksonville University is proud to present its Fall Dance Concert on November 19, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Swisher Theatre on campus.

The recital will feature seven works varying in style and mood from classical ballet to contemporary. One of the pieces entitled “Ode to my cubicle” was choreographed by JU senior Suzie Rodgerson and features 15 JU students in a corporate world setting.

                                                                                        

“You will see versatile dancers and multiple themes within the course of the evening,” said Palmer. “There will be something for everyone.”

The recital features a classical ballet with original music based on the seasons, a contemporary duet, a modern piece on relationships and more.

Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for seniors, students and military personnel. The event is free to JU students, staff and faculty. For reservations or more information, please call the College of Fine Arts at 256-7374.
