Sociology majors enjoy the unique advantage that one can do sociology inside and outside the classroom, in activities on campus, in the community, and in any social and cultural setting, here or abroad. Accordingly, the opportunities for sociology-related student activities are vast and diverse. Sociology majors have the opportunity to participate in formal and informal field trips, and attend conferences and present papers at professional meetings.
