Program Description

The major in political science offers students the opportunity to examine local and national politics, the political systems of other nations, and international politics. Politics is essentially a process by which decisions are made that are binding on all involved. War and peace, cooperation and exploitation, and negotiation and compromise are among the topics covered in political science.
