Orthodontics
Jacksonville University began it's Advanced Specialty Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in August 2003. The program is a free standing program and closely mimics the private practice environment. This full time two-year intensive program combines didactic, clinical, and research components leading to either an Orthodontic Certificate or a combined Orthodontic Certificate and MBA degree.
The Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of "Accreditation without Reporting Requirements". The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. The Commission on Dental Accreditation can be contacted at (312) 440-4653 or at 211 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611.
The School of Orthodontics at Jacksonville University participates with PASS, however, we require our own supplemental application. JU withdrew from participation in the Posdoctoral Dental Matching Program. The option for participation with Match in the future is currently under review.
