Computing Sciences
Student Activities
Students can elect to participate in undergraduate research and/or departmental honors projects. Some of the projects students have worked on in the past include development of multimedia projects, research on fuzzy logic, robotic programming, use of new programming languages, a web-based weather station and a robotic, network-controlled laser-firing targeting system.
Students may join the Computing Sciences Club. This gives students an opportunity to network with classmates who share similar passions for advancing computing technology and promoting a more responsible world in which to use it. Members have participated in field trips, invited speakers on campus and participated in national programming contests sponsored for the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM).
