There's a new Visual Art Annex housing drawing and painting studios, a state of the art glass facility, sculpture studios including a comprehensive wood and metal shop and a well equipped ceramics studio.
The state-of-the-art glass studio has four glory holes, slumping kilns, annealers and furnaces. It's one of the only glass facilities in the Southeast.
Facilities also include a well-equipped clay studio, which inlcudes clay mixer, slab roller, extruder, and 12 electric wheels. The electric kiln room is equipped with three round paragons, a large oval and a small test kiln. Attached to the studio is a ventilated glaze formulation room equipped with all raw materials for clay and glaze experimentation. The outdoor kiln area includes two raku kilns and a gas fired cone 10 as well as pit and sager fire capabilities.
There's also a complete printmaking studio with two etching presses, two lithographic presses and the facilities to produce screen prints and all photographic printmaking techniques.
Two complete photography darkrooms include 18 enlarging stations in black and white and 10 stations in color. A separate film processing and finishing studio supports the darkrooms. An additional space is set aside for lighting.
Computer labs include both Macintosh and IBM compatible PC platforms.
