What is The JU Fund?
The JU Fund is the primary means of support for the JU community. JU, through this focus area of the undergraduate annual fund, is able to continue its tradition of educating the best and brightest students. Gifts made to The JU Fund are generally yearly gifts that go to support the University’s mission through areas such as scholarships, technology, student life and academic initiatives. Many thanks to the more than 2,000 alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff who made gifts to Jacksonville University through The JU Fund last year! Because of your philanthropy, JU continues to make life better through teaching, research and service.

What do gifts to The JU Fund support?
As JU students pursue educational challenges, resources must be replenished to keep up the pace. Contributions to The JU Fund from generous donors who find a way to give every year enable the University to make great strides toward excellence in every area and discipline. Anyone can contribute to this fund throughout the year to assist with University-wide priorities such as scholarships and financial aid, student programs, library and computer resources and academic initiatives.

Why is it important to give to The JU Fund even if I’ve made other/restricted gifts to JU?
A gift made to support a restricted project, such as a particular scholarship fund or a capital project or campaign, cannot be used towards The JU Fund. Your annual gift to the JU Fund, combined with the support of other generous donors has an immediate and meaningful impact on JU students. The JU Fund is at the heart of all giving to the college. So, while supporting your specific interests through restricted gifts is highly encouraged, your annual gift to The JU Fund is additionally essential in furthering the progress of essential priorities at JU.

Why should I give to JU?
EVERY gift impacts Jacksonville University! Participation, at any level of giving, is a key indicator as to alumni satisfaction for college rankings such as U.S. News and World Report. Your gift not only impacts our rankings, but it also allows us to gain greater support from Corporations and Foundations, most of whom also use alumni participation to determine their support of an institution.
