Position Title: Data Manager, Institutional Advancement
Department: Institutional Advancement
Status: FT, Exempt
Reports to: VP Institutional Advancement and Director of Advancement Services

Position Description
This position will oversee the Institutional Advancement Department donor records housed in the IA Raiser’s Edge database and IA paper files.   This position will also produce department reports and data information as needed.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for maintenance of donor and gift files for individuals, corporations, foundations, alumni and other donors.
• Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of various IA statistical reports and have experience in importing data.
• Assure all corrections and updates for IA donor base are achieved on a regular basis, including correct addresses, telephone numbers, etc.
• Assure all segmentations for all solicitations and activities including individual profiles for staff solicitation, direct mail, phonathon and alumni events – keep all records current and accurate.
• Manage all University requests for donor lists for all purposes.
• Track timelines for all gifts, including pledges, to assure timely collection of monies.
• Assure data entry of updated donor information collected by development officers.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports for achievement toward fundraising lists.
• Administration of donor recognition lists.
• Assist in finding “lost” alumni.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Minimum:  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Three years experience in fundraising environment.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Database management experience, preferably with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge software package.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, maturity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Must be able to multi-task, managing many projects at one time and must be a self-starter with good initiative and use good judgment.
