Position Title: Student Services & Outreach Coordinator
Department: Davis College of Business
Status: FT, Exempt
Reports to: Dean, College of Business

Responsibilities
The Student Services and Outreach Coordinator works in the office of the Dean of the Davis College of Business and is expected to:

 1. Coordinate the activities and meetings of the Dean’s Student Advisory Board.
 2. Coordinate the committee meetings and activities of the DCOB Executive Advisory Board.
 3. Serve as the liaison between the EMBA Alumni Advisory Board and the DCOB.
 4. Coordinate arrangements and publicity for outside speakers and outside programs related to the DCOB.
 5. Manage and develop the DCOB student internship program.
 6. Manage and develop the DCOB executive/student mentoring program.
 7. Manage and develop off-campus educational opportunities for DCOB students.
 8. Coordinate the scholarship selection processes for business scholarship programs.
 9. Develop programs to insure DCOB student success in scholarship recognition.
10. Coordinate events directly related to student activities including but not limited to BBQ/Majors Fair, Graduation Brunch, DCOB Homecoming Events, Business Student Clubs and other College events.
11. Manage and assist in the development of regular and effective communication with business alumni, the campus community and the local business community.
12. Oversee and manage the development, updating, and maintenance of an effective and informative DCOB website.
13. Other tasks as assigned by the Dean.

Qualifications
The Student Services and Outreach Coordinator shall have a bachelor’s degree with preference given to majors in business, communications or related fields.   Preference will be given to applicants possessing appropriate masters degree and/or significant related work experience. 

This individual must be able to successfully interact with students, faculty, leaders on campus and members of the business community.  This individual must be able to conceive, organize, plan and execute events; develop and manage broad and effective communication programs with constituents.  This person must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, be able to work with a high degree of independence and self-motivation, and must exhibit a drive to develop the programs for which they hold responsibility.

Physical Demands: Medium physical demand, occasionally handles heavy material.

Working Conditions: Well lighted working area, temperature and humidity controlled.
