Position Title: Assistant Professor, Computing Sciences
Department: Computing Sciences
Status: FT, Tenure-track
Reports to: Head, Division of Science & Math

Position Description
Jacksonville University seeks applications for the full-time, tenure track position of Assistant Professor in Computing Sciences starting in August 2008 for the fall semester.

Responsibilities
Normal teaching load will include a computer applications course that is part of the university core. Evening and online teaching are possibilities.

Qualifications
Preferred:
1. Ph.D. preferred.
2. Preference to candidates with expertise in web application development and related internet technologies.
3. Experience directing students in undergraduate research and development of software applications as a capstone course would be beneficial.
