Things to Do While Visiting Jacksonville
We love when you visit campus, but we know that you also enjoy taking your student out to see all of the exciting things that this exciting area has to offer. So, here's a list of just some of the great things for you to check out with your family the next time you're here!
Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
The Cummer Museum features changing exhibits of top contemporary artists and fine and varied permanent collections. The museum is also famous for its gardens. Museum of Contemporary Art
The museum's new facility is in Hemming Plaza at 333 North Laura Street. Students (with current ID): $5, Children under 2: FREE, Wednesday evenings (5pm – 9pm): FREE Sundays: FREE for families. Museum of Science and History (MOSH)
The Museum of Science and History includes a the Alexander Brest Planetarium and is family friendly. Many exhibits are hands-on and change regularly. Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

Adventure Landing
Jacksonville's family entertainment center includes a seasonal waterpark/waterpool PLUS year round minigolf, go carts, laser tag and arcade! The park is open Sun – Thurs 10am – 10pm. Alhambra Dinner Theatre

Kayak Amelia
Guided Kayak / Nature Tours are planned to go with the current and start with a short instruction on land. You will then paddle to a sandbar for a snack and swim in warm weather. Then paddle to the take out location. Along the way the guides describe the salt marsh eco-system, critters and local history.
