Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences!
Whether you are interested in new social phenomena, understanding motion and change, literature of the South, exploring the natural laboratory provided by the St. Johns River or serving your country, the College of Arts and Sciences offers you rich territory to explore. The College encompasses the Division of Humanities, the Division of Science and Mathematics, the Division of Social Sciences and the NROTC Unit. We also oversee the daily operation of Student Support Services and Wilma's Little People's School.
The College's mission is focused on your academic growth and our faculty are recognized for their commitment to it. At this college, you'll be learning with nationally and internationally recognized professors dedicated to sharing their knowledge with you.
You will find information about all of our programs and people here. I especially recommend that you review the College's portion of the University catalog where you will find a listing of courses offered and requirements for our many programs of study. Then, browse the individual Web sites for the departments and programs that interest you. Feel free to contact us for more information.
Enjoy exploring our site, and, again, welcome to the College.
Sincerely,
Douglass M. Hazzard, Ph.D.
Dean
