2016-2018 Community Service

Ms. Chapa gave a presentation to the theater group at DelWebb in the Nocatee development on the use of Standardized patients for clinical training in the Applied Health Sciences at JU (1/8/2018).

Dr. Chenot serves as the Co-Chair - ADHD Community Professionals Committee - Jacksonville, FL (2016-2017).

Dr. Edge is a member of the JU-Brooks Rehabilitation Supervisory Network and actively participants in monthly meetings (2016 – 2017).

Dr. Edge is a member of the Jacksonville Speech-Language-Hearing Association and regularly attends meetings (2016 – 2017).

Dr. Edge serves as a GRASP/JU liaison by participating in GRASP outreach projects such as town hall meetings, open houses, and community partnership dinners (2015–2016).

Dr. Edge regularly conducts screenings with the non-profit organization Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center with MS-SLP students at schools throughout Jacksonville (2016 – 2017).

Dr. Edge is a Board Member of the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center (2018).

Dr. Edge is the faculty advisor for the inaugural Jacksonville National Stuttering Association Teens Who Stutter Support Group (2017-present).

Dr. George serves as the BRCHS liaison for the Elder Abuse Summit to be held at the Duval County Courthouse (September 30, 2016).

Dr. George serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Jacksonville, Class of 2018 Aging True (2017 - present).

Dr. Hausenblas met with RPDS administration to help with physical activity statistics for youth for their promise week campaign (April 24, 2016).

Dr. Hausenblas is a member of the board for the Duval County Medical Society (2017 - present).

Dr. Hausenblas received the President’s Volunteer Service Award (bronze level) (April 13, 2016).

Dr. Helgeson was an invited speaker at the Career Resouce Fair for Alden Road Exceptional Student Center (Spring 2018).

Dr. Helgeson is the Vice-President and Volunteer Coordinator for LaVilla Band Boosters (Spring 2018).

Dr. Indelicato is a member of the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center Girl Centered Practice Collaborative (Fall 2017 - present).

Dr. Indelicato is a member of the JCCI, Inc. Mental Health Inquiry Implementation Committee (Fall 2017 - present).

Dr. Indelicato was a presenter and panelist for "Meeting Women Where They Are: Culture, Faith, and Community", Women's Services Coalition of NE Florida (June 2017).

Dr. Izaryk joined the Advisory Board for Oak Hill Academy, a school for children with autism and other related disabilities.

Ms. Lechwar is a consultant for the Duval County Public Schools Speech-Language Pathologists specializing in low incidence populations (Spring 2018).

Dr. Morgan and Dr. Michelle Edmonds participated in a medical trip with Mission of Hope in Haiti July 2016. Both served as nurse practitioners and provided primary care to Haitian families.

Dr. Morgan serves as the Treasurer for the Florida Council of Nurse Midwives, NE Florida Chapter.

Dr. Morgan serves with Women's Health Services at the Muslim American Social Services Clinic (2018),

Dr. Orrock serves as a volunteer with the Red Cross and is certified as a Mind, Body, Medicine facilitator with the Red Cross healing Our Troops campaign.

Dr. Orrock is one of 20 Red Cross volunteers selected to complete advanced training of Mind, Body, Medicine through the Center for Mind, Bod, Medicine as part of a new campaign to aid in re-integration of our troops.

Dr. Orrock serves as a volunteer with the Red Cross for Reconnection Workshops for returning service members and their families post deployment. He recently ran workshops in Baton Rouge, LA, New Orleans, LA, and Huntsville, AL.

Ms. Rieser served for an eight-month leadership commitment with American Cancer Society to plan and execute Jacksonville's Southside Relay for Life cultivating over $16,500 in direct giving for the treatment of cancer. (Sept 2015-April 2016)

Dr. Rillstone facilitates a weekly Women’s Support Group for Hubbard House (Domestic Violence Shelter) as a volunteer. (Sept. 2012-present).

Dr. Rillstone volunteers with Mika (her Australian Shepherd) for Pet Therapy at Taylor Manor (local nursing home in Jacksonville). (October 2010-present).

Dr. Rillstone is a Big Sister through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and is matched with a high school freshman student. (February 2016 – present).

Professor Robinson traveled to Nicaragua to work with Artists for Soup non-profit working with impoverished women in La Paz Centro and presented workshops on women's health and fabric arts (April 23 – May 2, 2016).

Dr. Sapienza is a member of the Jacksonville Leadership Summit Committee. (2016-2017).

Dr. Sapienza is a member of the Board of Trustees for Memorial Hospital (2017)

Dr. Sapienza is a member of the Women’s Giving Alliance (2017)

Dr. Sapienza is a member of the Jacksonville Health Planning Council, representing Duval County (2017)

Dr. Wagoner serves as a Board Member, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida (2016-2017).

Dr. Wagoner serves as a Quality and Compliance Committee, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida (2016-2017).

Dr. Wagoner serves as an Advisory Committee for Mental Health Services, 7 North Project, Jacksonville Beach (2016-2017).

Dr. Wagoner serves as the Chair of Southeast Region Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and host of Annual Member & Continuing Education Conference in Jacksonville (region = training centers in 6 States) (2016-2017).

Dr. Wilburn serves on the Northeast Florida Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Board of Directors.

Dr. Wilburn serves on the Drug Free Duval Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Task Force.

Dr. Wilburn serves on the Women’s Worth Advisory Board.

Dr. Wilburn serves on the FSCJ Advisory Board for the Human Services Program.
