Ms. Chapa organized a CE course presentation in BRCHS with Atos medical on Laryngectomy patient care entitled "Getting Back to Life after Total Laryngectomy", involving Laryngectomy patients and spouses, JU CSD graduate students, as well as community SLPs involved in Laryngectomy care (10/6/2017).

Ms. Chapa gave a presentation to the Head Neck Cancer Support Group at the Ackerman Cancer Center regarding Head & Neck Cancer (11/21/2017).

Dr. Kavanagh attended the INASCL nursing simulation conference Grapevine, Texas (June 15 – 18, 2016).

Dr. Maetozo received two American College of Sports Medicing (ACSM) certification updates: Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor Jacksonville Health and Wellness Expo 2018 (2018).

Dr. Morgan is the current President of the Lambda Rho chapter and Dr. Edmonds is a Vice President. Both represented the chapter as voting representatives to the House of Delegates (2016).

Dr. Morgan assumed the presidency of the Jacksonville University Phi Kappa Phi chapter (August 2016).

Dr. Orrock is serving on a search committee for a new hire of an assistant professor for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program (2016-2017).

Professor Robinson participated in the Northeast Florida Youth Summit, which was presented by City of Jacksonville, Social Services Division, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, Ryan white HIV/AIDS Program Part A. (July 18, 2016).

Professor Robinson was recertified through DOH Duval Area 4 AIDS Program training as HIV testing counselor. (August 3, 2016).

Professor Robinson attended Outreach HIV/AIDS, TB and Hepatitis (OATH) Prevention Symposium at UF Health, Jacksonville, FL, as NP providing PrEP at JASMYN clinics pilot project. (September 27, 2016).
