The School of Education offers the following undergraduate majors and minors
in Education and Sport & Exercise Science. Students must be enrolled in an
appropriate major at JU and work with the SOE to create a Program of Study
(POS).
TEACHER EDUCATION
Education Majors, State-Approved, M.Ed./BS*:
- Elementary Education Teacher Preparation K-6 with ESOL and Reading
Endorsements (5-Year Program)
- Physical Education Teacher Preparation K-12 (5-Year Program)
Teacher Education Minor:
- Middle and Secondary Education, Grades 6-12 - leads to fulfillment of
Florida Department of Education’s (FLDOE) certification requirements.
* Both M.Ed. and B.S. degrees granted upon successful completion of the
program.
