Overview of Entry Points into the Nursing Program

Thank you for your interest in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Jacksonville University.  Please note that we offer different points of entry for our Nursing programs. This information is provided so that you can self-identify the best route for you to apply to the Nursing program.

Once you submit an application it will be reviewed once we reach the deadline for that entry term. Official transcripts are required from each college that you have attended. The application requires that you submit contact information for 3 individuals that you would like to recommend you for the program. Letters of recommendation (Transfer and 2nd Degree seeking students only) need to be received by the deadline in order to be considered for the program, no exceptions will be made. Within 2 weeks of the deadline you will be contacted by email for an interview or notified that you have not been selected for an interview. The interview is a panel interview with 5-6 other Nursing applicants, you will take turns answering questions.  Once the interview is complete you will be asked to write a one 1 page essay on a critical thinking prompt.

Here is a blank recommendation form in case you have any difficulty submitting your recommendations for any reason.  Once it is completed it can be scanned to documents@ju.edu.
