JU Aviation Board President Edward M. Booth Jr. named to Jacksonville Aviation Authority board
Edward M. Booth Jr., a partner in Jacksonville law firm Quintairos, Prieto, Wood and Boyer, has been appointed to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority board by Mayor Alvin Brown.
Booth, president of Jacksonville University’s Aviation Advisory Board, has been a pilot for more than 35 years, has served as chairman of The Florida Bar's Aviation Law Committee and the Florida Bar Aviation Law Certification Committee, and is board certified by The Florida Bar in aviation law.
A past president of the Lawyer Pilot's Bar Association and past president of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Florida Aviation Historical Society, Booth is a panel attorney for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Legal Services Plan and has been a frequent lecturer on aviation topics at legal seminars. He has extensive experience in handling cases involving aviation accidents.
His appointment was confirmed by the City Council Oct. 8, and his term expires Sept. 30, 2015. He replaces Cyrus M. Jollivette on the board.
