Jacksonville, Fla.—Tresa Dunn, accounting associate in the Controller’s Office, has been named Jacksonville University’s August Employee of the Month for outstanding customer-service and commitment to the University.
“Tresa shows great commitment and responsibility for everyone getting paid correctly and on time,” said Chris Downs, senior accounting associate. “She is organized and does a great job of keeping up with everyone’s time being recorded properly. She takes all the time that is necessary to explain issues to employees to their satisfaction. She peruses each timecard submitted and, before allowing any incorrect timekeeping, will ask the employee for clarification. This proactive attitude allows the payroll process to run much smoother once it has begun. She can be given a new project and you can be assured that it will be done properly and on time. She really makes my job easier.
As Employee of the Month, Dunn received a $50 award, an extra vacation day, a certificate signed by the president and a reserved parking spot.
