Student Employment

The information on this page will help you understand Jacksonville University's expectations for supervisors and student workers.

MANDATORY EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION

All students who work on campus, and all supervisors of student workers, are required to attend mandatory Employment Orientation each year prior to starting work or hiring student workers. The purpose of the Employment Orientation is to familiarize you with the policies, procedures, and paperwork that must be followed and completed in order to get a job, submit timecards for payment, and receive a paycheck.

All students wishing to work on campus may contact the Student Employment Coordinator in the Financial Aid Office at 256-7060 or by email to schedule an appointment for student employment training.

Continuing students who worked on campus last year also have the opportunity to satisfy the requirement by exam on-line.

Before taking the exam, we recommend that you view the Powerpoint presentation for student workers. If you still have questons, you can refer to the written Policies and Procedures for clarification. Good Luck!
