Jacksonville University Snapshot:

 

Jacksonville University maintains an ever-growing and diverse network of students and alumni, with approximately 3,400 currently registered students and over 20,000 alumni. JU offers over 70 academic majors in several fields of study, including business administration, theatre arts, marine science, nursing, aviation and much much more.

 

 

 

JU's diverse student body is comprised of individuals representing not only the state of Florida, but 45 additional states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and 50 foreign countries. The male-to-female student ratio is approximately 1 to 1.

Enjoying a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, compared to other universities, all JU students have the ability to form and develop strong, quality and meaningful relationships with faculty, which leads to increased opportunities for leadership, personal and professional development.

 

 

 

 

 

JU boasts over 65 academic, professional, cultural and honorary organizations on campus, with 15% of the student population participating in Greek organizations. JU is a NCAA division I university with 17 athletic teams. Nearly 400 JU students compete in intercollegiate varsity sports.

 

 

 

 

 

Unique to Jacksonville University, JU students have the option of earning a service-learning certificate by completing nine credit hours in approved service learning courses. As a result, JU students graduate with community engagement experience and a strengthened sense of citizenship.
