Jacksonville University (JU) is recruiting military veterans who have two-year associate degrees in nursing to join a cohort of other military veterans to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) baccalaureate in nursing. This is especially important in the current hospital climate that pushes for a larger percentage of the RN workforce to be BSN prepared.
JU has a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide academic and other support services to assure successful completion of the BSN degree program. Support services will include coaching and tutoring from resources at JU.
The Counseling Center is ready to provide resiliency training, stress management and supportive counseling to address obstacles or challenges that may still remain from your military service that may impede your academic and college experience. Your advisors are also military veterans with professional backgrounds to support military veterans.
This unique military veterans’ cohort will be based on campus at JU. The class will meet once a week during the afternoon/evening classes on campus, which will allow you to continue your civilian employment. Tuition is significantly reduced for this opportunity and your military benefits may cover all your tuition and book costs.
