Dean's Message

Welcome to the College of Health Sciences at Jacksonville University, where our students’ education is our priority.  The College of Health Sciences at Jacksonville University is committed to maintaining and role-modeling excellence in clinical practice.   The curriculum of each of our Health Science programs integrates evidence based practice and rigorous academic and clinical preparation.  We are fortunate to have a committed faculty with exceptional expertise who promote excellence in all our programs.   Our small class sizes help promote an interactive learning environment and more personalized attention to each student.
The College of Health Sciences includes undergraduate and/or graduate programs in Nursing and Exercise Science, and will be offering several allied health and Health Administration degrees in the next few years.   These degrees will include a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and a Masters in Health Information Management in Fall 2014; the Masters in Health Executive Leadership in 2015, and the Masters in Occupational Therapy in Fall 2016.  Plans are currently underway to begin construction of a new College of Health Sciences building which will include active learning classrooms, faculty and staff offices, meeting rooms, a multi-use simulation center and a computer laboratory with state-of-the art equipment.
I hope you will take this opportunity to learn more about our academic programs and our commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of our community.  Whether you are a prospective student, professional colleague, or graduate of one of our programs, we invite you to explore our website to learn about all the exciting educational opportunities available at the College of Health Sciences.
